ZOOMKIDZ

ZoomKidz is an educational program taught by teen mentors to give children opportunities to learn about topics in various academic areas in a fun way during these difficult times. Children from Grades K-5 can join the meetings on Zoom, a video-calling platform, once a week for 40 minutes, and interact with the lesson. Meetings for Grades K-2 will be held separately from the Grades 3-5 meeting. We hope this can be an engaging environment that your kids can be a part of!

THE COVID NINETEEN PROJECT

The Covid NineTEEN Project is a teen-led, crisis relief project that provides elementary school students with support during this pandemic and addresses educational inequality worldwide. They host free live sessions with fun, engaging  activities every day from 9 AM to 5 PM (PST), as well as free one-on-one tutoring sessions offered in 14 different languages for the core school subjects: English, Math, Science, and History.

SIDE BY SIDE AGENCY

 Side by Side Agency is a non-profit, based in GTA, Ontario, volunteer based organization that is led by university students from Canada and the USA. Our mission is to provide free tutoring and mentorship services to students in Ontario, grades K-12. As well, we are a platform that provides educational resources to parents & students, and to assist students on their post-secondary journeys. Side by Side Agency was created at the end of April as a response to the current world crisis of the COVID-19.

OPERATION MED SCHOOL

Operation Med School (OMS) is a student-run organization that hosts one-day conferences to educate youth about the journey of a medical career. Our goal is to inspire, inform and encourage students to follow their medical dreams and head bravely into their future endeavours. Each conference gives students a new approach to medical careers through activities and lectures by medical experts.
It is the perfect chance for high school students to explore the medical field, meet peers who share the same passion, and speak with knowledgeable medical professionals. 
OMS Vancouver is located in Vancouver BC.

HONOR STUDENT SECRETS

 

Honor student secrets is a student led platform that gives high schoolers access to free, easy to use school ressources. Regardless of your stream : IB, AP, Extended French and more, there are tips for everyone. By giving students access to handpicked honor student resources, we wish to help educate students and ensure their success, through useful resources and helpful tips across all subject areas.

JUST FOR YOU TUTORING

Youth empowering youth to learn better and be better. Providing knowledgeable and personal tutors to students grades 1-12 through free virtual tutoring. Every student should have the ability to improve their learning and seek the guidance they need to succeed in school and life.

PEP MAGAZINE

PEP magazine is an international politics, economics and philosophy magazine that deconstructs issues and topics in these fields of study and makes them presentable for a young audience (kindergarten/preschool through year 9 or 8th grade). We have over 50,000 dedicated readers and a staff of 30 students from 4 continents, but are always in search of more writing interns. If you chose to write for us not only will you be able to have internship experience but you will also be able to get leadership positions and help this magazine on an executive level. Join today! We are in 19 different countries and cities, and yours can be next on the list. All of our operations are done remotely so you can start anywhere in the world as long as you can access a laptop.

EXPAND YOUTH SOCIETY

 

Expand Youth Society was established in 2019 to provide accessible educational resources and opportunities for students in the areas of career development, entrepreneurship, and personal development. Our goal is to ensure that youth gain quality education and opportunities that they otherwise wouldn’t get in a school environment. 

​We are based in Toronto, however, we provide online workshops that have no location limitations.

LEAP

LEAP is a non-profit organization that equips students with the knowledge, skills, and connections they need to bridge the gap between high school and Canadian post-secondary education. Founded in May 2020 by 4 current university students, our current offering - COVID-19 edition is our 8-week #TuesdayTalks webinar series that runs from July 7th August 25th covering general topics such as university life 101, academics 101 and many more as well as school-specific panels featuring current university students from Canadian institutions. BRIDGES

We are bridges, a student-support system for grade 12 students entering university.
Our objective is to help ease the transition from high school to university by providing students with resources, information and a place to ask any questions they may have about the post-secondary experience. 
Our program is a continuous effort, dealing with topics from how to handle finances during university to navigating your academics. We are very happy for anyone to contact us via email for any inquiries they may have.
We will also be sending out regular newsletters about different topics that will enhance their university experience and we will also be hosting drop-in zoom calls for further discussions.

REACH FOR THE STARS

Our goal, as an organization that is fully made up of students, is to help other students across the globe by providing access to online learning. We want to enable students to attain the same level of education that they would have in person. Our services assist student and parents. They include private 1-to-1 tutoring,
peer tutoring, Book Club, our annual summer programme (27th July to 5th September)and many more amazing activities!!

POWER OF CODE

Power of Code is a student-led initiative from the GTA who are trying to engage youth interested in the technology career path! We want to create and bring STEM-related opportunities to students everywhere! Executive applications are now open, position descriptions and application forms are in their bio.

 GTA STEM AND BUDS

GTA Stem and Buds provides an excellent opportunity for ambitious and passionate youth to explore the field through some momentous experiences and develop leadership skills through hands-on activities. They hope to educate children about STEM and make it more accessible and easier to approach through mentorship camps and workshops.

DETECH THEORY

DeTech Theory's goal is to make computer science accessible to all. Although many people are interested in programming, it is a frustrating subject to teach yourself. Trying to find an online course is also difficult, and the choice between cost and quality is rarely easy.
DeTech Theory's course, created for aspiring programmers, by individuals who have each taken various programming courses aims to eliminate these obstacles. Covering all topics in AP Computer Science A and the ICSE Computing Applications Exam, our FREE Introduction to Computer Science course prioritizes creativity and ease of education for our students

SUPERPOSITION TORONTO

Superposition Toronto is a youth-led organization with the mission of bridging the gender gap in STEM by creating educational opportunities and supportive communities. Our approach is to actively bring girls into STEM by hosting panel discussions, hackathons, and workshops on a variety of different topics (i.e. AI, ML, blockchain, UX design, competitive programming) that equip them with both soft and hard skills to help unlock their full potential. Through this, we hope to foster welcoming environments—to create a safe space where everyone feels that they truly belong.

PROJECT UNI

Project Uni is a youth-led, online, non-profit initiative dedicated to providing real resources, advice, and information for Canadian students during the post-secondary admissions process. We accomplish this through interviewing hundreds of students across the nation about their campus life, academics, and application experiences. We’ve also compiled a series of helpful tips through our blog about building your personal brand, crafting a resume that GETS you the job, volunteering during the pandemic etc.

Scholar Zone Canada is a student-run, not for profit, an organization with aims to empower students and provide advice to make learning better. We work to provide tips and tricks to help make school easier to manage. As of now, we are working to get bigger and involve more people in our community.

GHANAGIRLS4ED

GhanaGirls4Ed is a youth-led nonprofit organization that fundraises to allow girls in Ghana to receive an education. We fundraise with another charity called Create Change which has an outreach team in Ghana which gives the school supplies and ensures that as many girls as possible are educated.

FLYGirls is a branch of the Canadian non-profit Create Change. We are a team of young girls with a mission to empower youth through education. Our fundraising efforts go towards providing girls in Ghana access to education and leadership opportunities, allowing them to escape from poverty and give back to their communities.
